The goal for the Sentry WC was to blend functionality, modern comfort and utilize the brand’s heritage to cater to the modern lifestyle consumer instead of the true outdoor enthusiast. Designed for diverse environments, comfort was a critical part of the brief. To meet this need we intended to utilize Ultracush insoles and our waffle cup construction in a more rugged lifestyle approach. The midsole/outsole draws inspiration and functional elements from MTE while modernizing an iconic waffle hex lug pattern with an aggressive stance. For the upper, we wanted to explore deconstructed heights mixed with unique paneling and details that resonated with the end consumer’s intended needs. The color and material directions balance classic style with modern trends. Neutral tones like black, tan, and white, alongside seasonal colors, provide versatility to the silhouette.
